Worse, you and your family could be put in danger.
Easy Oven Cleaning Tips for Your Convenience
Hopefully, there won’t be any explosion happening in your house before you read this article.
As mentioned, no one likes cleaning their oven but if you learn a few tips and tricks, you will actually learn to like it eventually.
Here are some of our suggestions:
Buy a commercial oven cleaner at your local convenience store or household supplies.
Wear rubber gloves and goggles for protection.
Since you will be using a product containing strong chemicals, read and follow the instructions carefully to avoid any accidents.
Pre-heat the oven to 200°F.
The heat will soften up the grease and dirt and will help the spray to break them down.
Once the temperature is reached, turn the oven off.
Spray all over the greased and dirty areas inside the oven.
Wait till the oven cools down and wipe off all the grease and grime using a damp rag or a damp sponge.
Thoroughly rinse the oven and dry it completely using clean rags.
Using a Home Made Oven Cleaner
If you are averse to using commercial oven cleaners because of the harmful chemicals they contain, you can make your own with the use of common household substances.
Mix one tbsp. liquid dish soap with 1 tbsp. of white vinegar and 1 tbsp. of Hydrogen Peroxide and 1 quart of warm water in a bowl or a bucket.
Get a sponge and dip it inside the mixture and rub it inside the oven. Let it stay for about one hour, and then scrub it using a green scrub.
Rinse well and wipe the oven with a clean cloth until it is completely dry.
One of the best oven cleaning tips is to use a home-made chemical free oven cleaner.
Mix 5 tbsp. of baking soda, with 3 drops of liquid dish soap and 4 tbsp. of white vinegar.
Work them out until they are like thick paste.
Get a sponge and dip it into the paste and apply it to the inside of the oven and over all the grease and grime.
Scrub the paste all over the oven using a green scrub.
Then remove the paste completely and wipe your oven clean.
